Why do you need an address? If they write to you you get their address and it is available on their website at : http://www.elavon.com/acquiring/united-kingdom/constants/terms.aspx
Email gets replied to pretty quickly.  They are American and operate from Ireland but do have a UK based registered office (check companies house).  I'm pretty sure they took over one of the UK bank's merchant services (Midland?)

Well, I found the phone number today, wasn't in place when I posted, but still failing to display any address.

Doesn't change my opinion.

Did you end up editing their pre-written template procedure document?
What do you do with card receipts, which have the Account number on them?  We are thinking of assuming they should be shredded when you've run a batch on the card machine.

I've been through the process, and as you say it's really for businesses that store card details electronically. I managed to "bumble" my way through the process to completion answering many totally irrelavent questions as best I could.
The net result is that Trustwave does a regular scan of our web site to check the security even though our web site doesn't handle any card details, that is handled by PayPal. That's £30 a year well spent.

Just had my increase in charges and PCI-DSS notifications from Elavon.  This topic seems to have died.

Has nobody gone through the process?

Strikes me that it should be very easy to be compliant if you do not store card data electronically, however the questionnaire seems obsessed with electronic transmission.
BTW Montrosegeorge - you do not have to store card data off-site.  Just in a locked cupboard.
BTW Mandarin Elavon has full uk contact phone numbers on their UK website .

Hi,

Two workmen, Brian Rutherford and Jimmy Johnson, stayed in our guest house in the last fortnight (left on 13/08/2010). Since they are workmen, we suspect they are still working in Edinburgh, possibly staying in the Granton area. If you have any information about them, can you please let us know on 0131 5544578 or reply to this thread as they have not yet paid their bill.

Thanks for any help,
Swanlake Guest House

15th to 25th September seems to be popular dates with scammers at the moment, probably all coming from the same person/group. Although I've not had this variant I've had several for these dates.

Please find below the text from an email received today that is, I believe a variation on the scams we know. I know the area of the address he has given and there is no place called "Wastage" however there is a place called "Wantage". Also I do not know of "West C hallow".

Email Text:

Good Day,

Davina and Alan Sully work for Mision Aviation Fellowship in Kenya.  They are legitimate.  MAF does wonderful work throughout the world.  We are keen supporters.

The Sully Family are probably coming home on furlough.  You can check them out on their website.

I have also received an e-mail from Sarah Orchard, I did e-mail her a booking form to be returned by e-mail and now a week later have not received a reply, she did promise to send a cheque also not received I was smelling a rat and I am so glad I came acroos this site, I shall be sending her another mail telling her she is not welcome and will make other hoteliers and cottage owners aware of her, I have also had a similar one from a Davina Sully which mirrors Sarah Orchards for ten nights for two she apparently works for Mission Aviation Fellowship Kenya, I also smell a rat on this one
