After booking through Scottish Accommodation Index with an arrival time of 1400hrs this lady canceled an hour and 40 minutes late with no explanation.
I foolishly asked her for a good will payment towards the loss of a night and gave her time to pay...Big mistake as the time then lapsed for a claim with SAI. Despite this they kindly offered to waive the time delay clause (5 nights in Hospital with sick son had intervened in all this too) and make a full payment for the first night regardless of the fact that the guest had speedily canceled her card details with them...I have thanked them and told them to keep the payment and will be more wary in future with giving the benefit of the doubt!
